polished or matte?

in case you didn't know your concrete counter top can have a matte or polished finished.

a matte finish is the way it comes out of the mold. it's a raw and solid color look, depending on the look you're going for this might work best. it's still a nice finish but it all depends on the style you're wanting. you can have a one section matte and have it fade into a polished effect. it's one of many options of concrete counter tops that you may not know.

a polished finish exposes the rocks and sand in the concrete. by polishing your concrete you can also expose artistic inlays in the concrete. it gives it a smooth glass like effect found in granite and marble. you can add colored aggregates and other objects that my compliment the area. it gives you a little more freedom to express your self.

the effect and look you choose all depends on you and your style. there is no right or wrong because you are the artist, and the concrete mold is your canvas.  so dream it and "let's build something together"
